Its Campus Selection time:

Its Campus Selection time:

Full of Anxiety, tension, unpreparedness, low confidence but off course ambition to get selected.
You cannot predict what type of questions will be asked.
What will be the process of selection.

Well Well ... Normally there are following Steps in any Campus selection Process
1) Written Test
2)Group Discussion
3)Personal Interview

With my experience and discussion with many of my HR friends in Many Multinational Organisations I have compiled few tips which may be helpful for the aspiring students. So my next three blogs will cover all these areas so that you can fly high to achieve your dream organisation.

First we will cover Written Test part:
so I will try to answer the questions like

1) What they expect in written test
2) Written test pattern
3) How to prepare to get through it.

1) What they expect in written test

   Your Time Management
    Logic Development
    Language Command
    comprehension
    Accuracy

2) Written Test pattern: Normally it includes
     a) Quantitative Ability
     b) Reasoning Ability
     c) General Knowledge
     d) Computer Knowledge
     e) English Grammar.

The overall design of the written tests is generally such that candidates get less than a minute to answer any question. In such a scenario, the expectation is that the candidate will judiciously select questions and will allocate time in such a manner as to maximize his score. Various companies divide their test into different sections which include quantitative section, verbal section & data interpretation and logical reasoning section.

Core companies adopt two methods to conduct the technical test: either include it as a part of the written aptitude test itself or conduct it as a separate test checking the student in the areas of relevance. The technical test can be of two types i.e. in the form of multiple choice questions (MCQs) or write a code for a specific program. Generally, companies do not adopt criterion of sectional cut-offs for exams.

Keeping this in mind, you should remember that the overall score in the exam is the most important one. You are advised to analyze your strengths and weaknesses, and try to identify the questions you are most comfortable with. Spend as much time as possible on questions where you are confident of scoring the maximum amount of marks in the least amount of time. The order of attempting different sections, if choice is available to you in the test, should depend on a strategy designed to boost your morale and score in the test.

3) How to prepare to get through it.

Aptitude test is one of the first hurdles that you have to cross to even be considered for the main campus interview. This includes a logical ability exam, numerical problems and a basic communication test.
For this, taking mock tests beforehand would help. Generally, speed is the key to cracking these exams, and that would come only with practice. Preparing for aptitude tests is generally fun, so this really should not be a problem.
## Numerical reasoning: Questions in this section are based on statistics, charts, graphs and figures.
## Verbal reasoning: Questions in this section test your ability to comprehend and reason complex concepts expressed in simple English
## Diagrammatic tests: – In these questions, you will be asked to analyze a sequence of inductive shapes, abstract patterns and sometimes numbers
## Situational judgement tests – These questions test basically assess how you approach situations which you may encounter in a workplace.
## Inductive reasoning – These questions are based on derivations of general principles from certain observations.
## Cognitive ability – It is basically the use of mental activities and skills to do reasoning, understand situations, remember a sequence of activities and pay enough attention to solve the puzzle.
## Mechanical reasoning tests – These puzzles are part of the test technical and engineering positions.
## In-tray exercises: – Questions in this section are business-related scenarios which can assess how to prioritize tasks

## You must brush up your concepts: The night before your aptitude test is crucial. Prepare well and revise all your concepts thoroughly. The benefits of career assessment tests like an aptitude round are innumerable. Your score in this round will help you judge your own IQ level as well as evaluate your preparation for a professional job.

## Review thoroughly: Practice all the important formulae related to number systems, HCF and LCM, time and work, averages, percentages, profit and loss, time and distance. These topics are crucial for upcoming aptitude exams. So, do not neglect them.

## Sleep well: Take ample rest before your test. Do not over think or overdo your revision. Limit your revision time to about 2-3 hours, have a healthy meal an hour before bedtime at least. This will help you sleep well. Avoid indulging into binge-watching or net surfing.
